The Information We Collect: This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the American Watercolor Society website. On some pages, you can submit a new membership application, renew an existing membership, or order products. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. We use the information you provide about someone else when placing an order only to ship the product and to confirm delivery. We use return email addresses to answer the emails we receive and to occasionally send information or notices that we deem to be of interest to members of the American Watercolor Society. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. In addition we also collect information on your IP address, browser type, and Refer URL data. We use this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out where our visitors are coming from so that we can improve our marketing. We place a cookie on your PC when you login to your account to make membership changes or purchases. That cookie is set to expire ten minutes after you log off. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
